THE FOLDED SELF

We are not broken by what we carry. We are shaped by what we fold within ourselves.

The Golem has evolved beyond myth into an architecture of contemporary existence. Rather than describing a complete body, the sculpture reveals an internal landscape where pressure, concealment, endurance and transformation continually negotiate the formation of identity.
Aluminium pathways replace anatomy, tracing invisible forces rather than flesh, while mesh behaves as atmosphere—revealing, obscuring and reforming with every movement of the viewer.

Compression is not presented as oppression alone, but as the process through which identity is formed. Running throughout the sculpture is the repeated act of folding. Mesh folds upon itself. Metal loops bend back into space. Internal chambers fold experience into contained forms. Identity becomes folded rather than linear; the past remains embedded within the present like geological strata.
